Filming your tennis or golf is easy. Watching it back is the hard part, because most of an hour on court or at the range isn’t play. It’s picking up balls, changing ends and teeing up the next one, and nobody wants to scrub through all of that to find the points and the swings.
Ball In Play keeps only those. Prop your phone on a fence or a tripod and press record. It saves each point from just before the serve to just after the last shot, and each swing from start to finish. The time in between is never written to your phone, so there’s nothing to cut afterwards.
What it does
- Keeps the play as it records. Points and swings are saved as they happen. The rest is thrown away and never takes up storage.
- Keeps count. While you play, the screen shows how many points or swings it has kept and how much footage they add up to.
- Says when it’s too hot. In the sun, a phone heats up. When it does, Ball In Play checks the video less often and says on screen that detection is coarser. It keeps recording either way.
- Gives you one video. When you stop, everything it kept is joined into a single video, ready to save to Photos or send.
Everything runs on your phone. There’s no account and no server, and what you record stays on your phone until you share it.
