Photo Tidy(er) Privacy Policy

Photo Tidy(er) does not collect your data. There is no account to create and no server to send anything to. Every photo Photo Tidy(er) looks at is analyzed on your iPhone, and none of them, or anything learned from them, leaves it.

The rest of this page explains what the app does with the permissions it asks for, and what it keeps on your device.

The permissions Photo Tidy(er) asks for

Photos. Photo Tidy(er) reads your photo library to find shots saved at the wrong angle, using Apple’s on-device Vision framework to look for faces, people and text. When you choose to fix a photo, it saves the rotation as an ordinary edit in Photos, which Revert in the Photos app undoes. For Stage for Post, it marks the photos you pick as favorites, or adds them to a temporary album, and takes them back out when you’re done. Scans skip photos stored only in iCloud rather than downloading them.

Notifications. Photo Tidy(er) can remind you when a staged batch of photos is due to be cleared, and tell you in the morning if the overnight check found photos to fix. These notifications are scheduled on your device; there is no notification server.

What Photo Tidy(er) keeps on your device

What it learned about each photo it checked, so it doesn’t check the same photo twice
The review you’re working through, and which suggestions you fixed or dismissed
Your staged batches and their settings
How many free fixes you’ve used, and whether you’ve unlocked unlimited fixes

This stays in the app’s storage on your iPhone. It’s included in your device backups like any app’s data, and deleting the app deletes it.

Purchases

The unlock is a one-time purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. Photo Tidy never sees your payment details. It only asks the App Store whether the unlock has been bought.

Analytics

Photo Tidy(er) contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code. If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may pass along anonymous crash reports; Photo Tidy(er) adds nothing to them.
